TEACHING AND LEARNING COORDINATOR’S MESSAGE

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to first and foremost thank you for your ongoing support as we work together to improve students’ progress and welfare at this stage of the academic year given the unfortunate circumstances.

Remote learning for our Years 7-10 will continue until Week 7 unless advised otherwise from authorities. Our meetings with teachers are still continuing over Zoom and we are discussing ways in which we can support our students academically and emotionally through this difficult phase.

Our Year 11 and Year 12 students are continuing with their on-site assessments as well as our current Year 10s who are enrolled in a VCE subject.

Our VCE students will be given information on the upcoming GAT on the 9th September which will be on campus. Students will have information sessions for both the GAT and VCE examinations. It is imperative that students attend these sessions.

Our Year 12 students will soon be given their personal exam timetables as well as the VCE Exam Navigator 2020 booklet from the VCAA. This booklet will contain the following important information for students and parents:

I encourage all VCE parents to also visit the VCAA website at the link below and select parents to gain more of an insight to the VCE studies, structure and assessments.

This term we will also begin our 2021 subject selection process for all our students from Years 7-12. The process will begin once we complete student information sessions to inform students of the subjects being offered. I will be communicating with students and parents via SEQTA once we are ready to begin the process.

Wishing you and your families a safe term.

Kind Regards,
Emel Sener
Teaching and Learning Coordinator
